June 24, 2023, Saturday was a day of flamboyance!
Our indefatigable and ever supportive PECCI led by its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee joined the
annual Pride March organized by Metro Manila Pride at the Circuit Makati Grounds.
This very colorful event was indeed an outburst of the
rainbow spectrum, where diversity was well displayed (believe me when I say diversity, name it they have
it), all were welcomed and everyone is very much included. Naturally, the number one battlecry of our
LGBTQIA+ brothers and sisters - EQUALITY was heartfelt and in its utmost presence.
Rainbows were not in the skies. They were down here which
created a safe space for everyone.
Entertainers performed, insipiring stories and talk were
delivered. The exquisite galactic superheroines: The Sailor Warriors walked with our beloved PECCI heroes
during the parade. What a spectacular scene!
Pride March is a celebration, a battle for equality for all
genders. It was indeed the most fabulous revolution! Yes to the SOGIE Bill!
Kaya tuloy ang laban para sa pagkakapantay-pantay at
buong-puso nakikisama ang inyong PECCI sa laban na ito! ๐๐งก

PECCI proudly participates in the 2022 PRIDE March because we are a staunch supporter of gender equality
#ResistTogether
We stand up and march for the equality and rights of everyone no matter what gender they
are, may you be straight or a part of LGBTQIA + community.
Rain or Shine, the PECCI Gender And Development Committee joined the 70 thousand
participants of Metro Manila Pride March held last June 29, 2019 at Marikina Sports Complex. One of the purposes of GAD is to ensure
that both women and men can equality have opportunities for development. PECCI GAD likewise stands againts the social injustices on
Filipino minorities and LGBTQIA+ community.
The Pride March is not just merely a celebration of LGBTQIA + community but a protest
against the status quo. This is the venue to express dissent against injustice and uphold human rights equal to all.
