Our Data Privacy Statement

At PLDT Employees Credit Cooperative (PECCI), we (collectively referring to PECCI officers and employees) strive to fulfill our commitment to safeguard and protect the privacy of the personal information of our members. We are committed to process personal information in accordance with our responsibilities under Republic Act No. 10173 (the “Data Privacy Act of 2012”) and its implementing rules and regulations. We aim to be transparent in how and what personal information we collect, use, and store. We will exert all reasonable efforts to protect any collected personal information against unauthorized use and disclosure whenever we process said personal information as required for membership or for any cooperative purposes where members will be asked to provide personal information in order to avail the services of PECCI.

Collection of Personal Information

We may manually or automatically collect personal information when:

• You apply for membership;
• You avail any of our services;
• You attend our trainings or seminars; and
• You participate in the general elections of officers.

Personal Information We Collect:

• Information required under Cooperative Development Authority (“CDA”) Memorandum Circular 2012-16, including but not limited to the following:
• Name of member/s
• Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Address
• Date of Birth
• Age
• Gender
• Civil Status
• Highest Educational Attainment
• Occupation/Source of Income
• Number of Dependents
• Religion/Social Affiliation
• Annual Income

• Information required under Credit Information System Act (Republic Act No. 9510) including but not limited to the following:
• Name
• Date of Birth
• Sex
• Civil Status
• Present Residence
• Employer and position or business, as the case maybe
• Number of Children /Dependents (for support purposes)
• Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Social Security System Number (SSS)
• Net Income
• Residence for the last two (2) years
• Employer or Business for the last five (5) years
• Ownership/lease of house occupied
• Car/s owned
• Bank/s where accounts are maintained including type of bank accounts
• Other Assets, Real or Personal

• Other information that PECCI deems necessary for its operations.

Use, Sharing, Retention and Disposal or Destruction of Personal Data

We only use personal information in accordance with the legitimate purpose/s and business of PECCI. We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent, unless we are required by law, legal proceedings or in the fulfillment of your obligations with PECCI.

We will retain personal information only for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose/s for which they were collected, or as may be required by law and existing rules and regulations. We commit to dispose or destroy personal information when they are no longer required for the purpose/s for which they were collected, by law or existing rules and regulations.

Rights and Updating of Personal Data

You are in control of the Personal Data that you have provided to PECCI consistent with your rights under Republic Act No. 10173 (the “Data Privacy Act of 2012").

However, in the exercise of your rights in accordance with the Data Privacy Act, (like withdrawal of consent, request to remove, destroy or expunge your Personal Data from PECCI’s system), you fully understand, recognize and consent to PECCI’s reservation of its right to suspend your membership and/or rights to avail of PECCI services as the withdrawal of consent to use Personal Data may affect the operations of PECCI such that it may not be able to effectively fulfill its rights and duties under the circumstances.

In case you need to exercise your rights under Republic Act No. 10173 (the “Data Privacy Act of 2012”) or request to update your Personal Data, you may send an e-mail to the Data Privacy Officer (DPO) of PECCI through the contact details below. In some cases, the DPO may require submission of supporting documents to implement your request.
